Abstract
Durusullughah book has long been used as a textbook in Ta'mirul islam ponpes, Surakarta. Until now, the book is still used as the main teaching material for learning Arabic, therefore the purpose of this research is to find out the extent to which the relevance of the Durusullughah book is to increase the motivation of Arabic language skills, especially in terms of speaking to santriwati class 1 KMI ponpes Ta'mirul islam. This research is included in qualitative research, data collection techniques from direct observation, interviews and documentation. The results of interviews submitted to several Arabic language teachers and several santriwati stated that the Durusullughah book is still very relevant to be used today and has an influence in motivating students to continue to be enthusiastic about speaking Arabic
