Abstract

The Ramadhan Field Teaching Practice (PPL) is a community service initiative conducted by students of Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Bahasa Arab (STIBA) Arraayah. This program serves as a medium for applying Islamic knowledge acquired on campus to real-life social contexts. It was held from March 20–30, 2025, in Cipayung District, East Jakarta. Activities included leading tarawih and qiyam al-layl prayers, delivering subuh sermons, organizing i’tikaf programs, managing zakat collection, and coordinating Eid al-Fitr prayers. Through these experiences, students gained hands-on skills in da’wah, social engagement, leadership, and religious communication. This study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, emphasizing an in-depth understanding of social phenomena through narrative data and field experiences. The results reveal strong enthusiasm from the local community and Rutaba students who participated in the program. The activities not only enhanced the community’s spirituality during Ramadhan but also fostered students’ moral integrity, preparing them to contribute effectively to da’wah in broader society. Thus, the PPL Ramadhan program stands as an effective platform for strengthening the synergy between academia and the community, shaping a generation of knowledgeable, ethical, and impactful da’i (Islamic preachers).
