Abstract
In this study, the researcher found several problems in the seventh-grade class at Pondok Pesantren Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Pakan Sinayan. The main problem is the limited time available for students to study the book Al-Miftah lil ‘Ulum at night, which leads to unsatisfactory learning outcomes.This study aims to determine the students’ learning motivation in studying the book Al-Miftah lil ‘Ulum at Pondok Pesantren Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Pakan Sinayan, to identify the supporting factors, and to describe the teacher’s efforts in enhancing it.The researcher employed a descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis techniques included data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.The results of the study indicate that: (1) students’ learning motivation in studying the Al-Miftah Lil ‘Ulum book is generally high; (2) the supporting factors of students’ learning motivation include self-discipline, teacher support, peer support, the availability of adequate learning facilities, as well as a learning environment characterized by order and discipline; and (3) the teacher’s efforts to enhance students’ learning motivation include providing guidance and psychological support, explaining lessons in a simplified manner, using engaging teaching methods such as singing, and giving appreciation and praise for students’ efforts.
