Rasionalitas Ekonomi Islam: Membangun Keseimbangan Antara Tujuan Materi dan Spiritual
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims to understand the concept of Islamic economic rationality, which emphasizes the balance between material and spiritual goals. The research uses a literature review method by analyzing relevant sources. The findings show that Islamic economic rationality focuses on the efforts of economic actors to achieve mashlahah, avoid wastefulness, and minimize risks in uncertain situations. Additionally, the concept of mashlahah encompasses five fundamental guarantees: the protection of religion, life, intellect, family and lineage, and wealth. Rationality in Islamic economics also prioritizes ethical consumption in line with Sharia principles, such as avoiding excessive behavior and prioritizing the afterlife over worldly matters. The conclusion of this research highlights the importance of applying Islamic economic principles to create a balance between worldly and spiritual interests.
