Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning Berpengaruh Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif dan Berpikir Kritis Siswa SMAN 3 Bengkalis

Abstract
This study aims to investigate the impact of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' critical and creative thinking skills in Islamic Education (PAI) learning at SMA Negeri 3 Bengkalis. Using a quasi-experimental quantitative design, the research involved 47 students from class XI IPS as subjects. The pretest results indicated that the critical and creative thinking skills of students in both the experimental and control classes were relatively similar. However, after the implementation of the PBL model, the posttest results showed a significant improvement in both skills, with a t value of 10.024 for creative thinking and 6.117 for critical thinking, along with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that the null hypothesis was rejected. ANOVA analysis also confirmed that PBL had a significant effect on the enhancement of both skills. These findings demonstrate that the application of PBL in PAI learning significantly improves students' critical and creative thinking skills, making it an effective method to address educational challenges in the modern era.
