Abstract

This paper aims to understand the importance of religion in human life, religion as a basic human need, and religion as a personal human need. Humans need religion as a guide in living life in the world. Religion can be interpreted as a life guide that will lead humanity to life stability, human nature is that religion has power over everything about itself, so religion is a basic human need. Islam is a religion that has a holy book called the Koran. This holy book provides guidance to humanity on the correct way to live in the world. Apart from that, religion also directs people to do good deeds and avoid bad deeds.
