Wakaf Dalam Tinjauan Sosiologi Hukum

Abstract
This study aims to analyze waqf in a sociology of law review. This qualitative research, including research using descriptive analysis method, while the approach used is normative and sociological legal research approaches. Data were collected using literature study techniques that emphasize the principle of relevance. Then, the data were analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques through the stages: studying, reducing, correcting, tabulating, categorizing, interpreting, and drawing the conclusion that waqf has a long history that has been implemented before Islam, and waqf is a sufficient socio-religious institution. it is important to increase generosity and sustain the economic life of the community. This study found that based on a sociological review of the law on waqf, where this waqf is a legal act of the community, by releasing their property to Nazhir to be used for the benefit of the general public. Hopefully the results of this research can be used as a reference for future research that is more actual and comprehensive.
